Erika comes to our community with six years of experience in providing mental health treatment, including an internship with Dig A Little Deeper, and previous experience with the provincial group home program, where she provided compassionate care for people with depression, anxiety, trauma, autism spectrum disorder, downs syndrome, schizophrenia, PTSD, and Prader-Willi syndrome.
Erika works with individual adults, couples, and family members, treating anxiety and mood disorders, ADHD for individuals and family support, life transitions, trauma, and family of origin conflict.

Erika works from a therapeutic framework of trauma-informed cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), using a person-centered blend drawing on foundational interventions, like mindfulness, CBT, EFT, as well as using attachment theory to further understand the influence of a person’s environment. Erika focuses on the biopsychosocial interactions of people’s experiences and provides positive encouragement by identifying and utilizing the strengths we sometimes don’t realize we already have. With a deeper understanding of our foundations, Erika believes we can use this knowledge to begin developing the skills necessary to flourish and feel reconnected with our true selves.  Erika has worked in the trauma community of practice to enhance her understanding in effective interventions and support to individuals in need.

In her work and life, Erika values compassion, integrity, mindfulness, and respect, applying these principles to promote authentic growth and wellbeing for her clients.
