Mitch completes his internship with DALD in April 2023, and is passionate about helping others in times of need when they are at their most vulnerable. Mitch’s approach is person-centred, and he has foundational skills in cognitive behaviour therapy.

Mitch’s background and experience working in the trades allows him to understand and appreciate the unique challenges that come from a variety of workplaces, including over a decade in the restaurant industry, as a welder and for the past few years in a shelter for people experiencing homelessness. Mitch has academic training and interest in treating anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders and trauma. Through his work as an outreach worker, he has a lot of experience offering non-judgemental services to those with addiction issues.
Mitch completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at OCAD University in Toronto in 2013, where he majored in Integrated Media working in a social engaged practice and completed his Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree at Yorkville University and is a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) as a Registered Psychotherapist – Qualifying.
