Bio

Virtual and In-Person Therapy in Ontario

Connie’s approach to therapy is rooted in her belief that the therapeutic alliance is foundational to successful treatment outcomes. Connie understands the importance of listening to clients from a culturally informed perspective, and a place of non-judgment and positive regard.

Connie believes that our thoughts are an important aspect to how we relate to others and the world around us. We each have a unique lens we view the world through and through careful exploration we can ensure our thoughts are working for instead of against us.

Connie is a firm believer in not trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, especially in her work with ADHD clients. This means your work together will include finding the therapeutic style and tools that work for you, rather than fitting you to them. Therapy, unfortunately, can’t make everything better but it may increase your resilience and provide you with some new tools to help move you through the rough patches.

Connie is a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP) and has completed additional training in emotionally-focused couple’s therapy. Connie has experience working with adolescents, adults and couples struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety and ADHD. She utilizes cognitive behavioural, solutions-focused and emotionally-focused tools to help her clients reach their therapeutic goals.
