I have always found value in a closer look. To ‘dig a little deeper’ is to go beyond band-aid solutions and identify more clearly what the barriers have been in your life, and to finally heal the stuff that’s been holding you back. Insight alone doesn’t equal change, but we can change when we figure out what conditions you need to experience life differently.
I approach therapy collaboratively. Together, we connect ALL of the dots: neurobiological, relational, your past and your future hopes and dreams. As a relational and neurodivergent-affirming therapist, we will work together to create a treatment plan through the lens of your brain, strengths, values, goals and experiences in the world.
My approach is informed by foundational principles of trauma-focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (TF-CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and attachment-based Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I’m also trained in somatic interventions like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP).
For couples, I offer a unique experiential neurodivergent-affirming couples framework called ADHD-Adapted Relational Therapy (AaRT), informed by current treatment guidelines for ADHD, psychodynamic psychotherapy, Emotionally Focused Couple and Family Therapy (EFT) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).
I have a special interest in working with adults late-diagnosed with ADHD, giftedness, women, folks with aphantasia, first responders, and health care workers.
I’m currently taking on new clients for Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (Sundays in Palgrave, ON), and new therapists for clinical supervision and consultation (Ontario).
